Multi-Channel Broadcasts and an AI That Builds Your Flows

AwardScience, the award and grant management platform, released multi-channel broadcasts with pre-send checks and an AI workflow builder in the week of 31 August 2026. A broadcast is the one action in an award programme that cannot be undone. Sending to 4,000 people is final in a way that publishing a page is not, and the two questions beforehand are always the same: who is this actually going to, and what is it going to cost.

Both are now answered on screen before the send.

Broadcasts on email, SMS, WhatsApp or push

Choose a primary channel for each message and write fallback content for another. Before sending, a check shows exactly who the broadcast will reach and why anyone is being left out — no consent, no phone number, opted out, already messaged. For SMS it shows how many billed message parts the send will use.

Segment counting matters more than it sounds. A message that runs three characters over a segment boundary costs twice as much to send, and nobody discovers this from the invoice in a useful timeframe.

For IT teams. Pre-send audience check, SMS segment counting, SNS opt-out reader, Meta template sync, and a web-form fallback for when WhatsApp declines a message. Opt-outs are tracked per channel.

An AI assistant that builds flows and pages

Describe what you need — “add a leave request flow for staff”, or “put the fellowship flow on the About page” — and the Campaign assistant builds it and opens it for you. It asks clarifying questions first, and lists anything it could not apply rather than failing silently.

Listing what it could not do is the difference between an assistant and a demo. The useful output of an ambiguous instruction is a built flow plus three things it declined to guess at.

Studio › Campaign assistant

For IT teams. The assistant can move fields, insert sections, set validation and visibility, restyle, and set page audience and order. Conversations are tied to the object being edited.

Co-editing that understands stages

Live editing is now scoped to each stage, reconnects by itself after a network drop, and stops cleanly if someone loses access mid-session. Submitting waits until every answer has been saved.

The submit-sync change fixes the worst possible version of a race condition: a submission that completes before the last answer typed into it has been written.

Auto-generated passwords for new users

When admins add users, one at a time or in bulk, a secure password is generated and sent to the user directly, and they can be required to change it at first login. The administrator never sees it.

Administrators choosing passwords for other people is how programmes end up with forty accounts sharing a variant of the programme name and the year.

Availability

Everything above shipped in the week of 31 August 2026 and is live now. Features marked Pro or Enterprise are noted as such in their technical notes; everything else is available on every plan.

If you are comparing platforms, these are reasonable things to test in a trial rather than take on trust — alongside the questions in our RFP guide.
