AwardScience, award and grant management software, released an Excel import wizard, embeddable application forms and a public award directory in the week of 27 July 2026. Migration is the step where most platform changes die. Not because the new system is worse, but because nobody can face moving four years of records into it, so the old spreadsheet stays alive alongside the new software and the programme ends up running on both.
This week is mostly about that problem from both ends: getting existing data in without a project plan, and getting application forms out to where applicants already are.

Excel import wizard
Upload our template or any Excel file you already have, map its columns to the form’s fields, and push every row in as a real application. Rows that fail come back as a downloadable error file — fix those rows, re-upload, done. Moving a legacy programme now takes an afternoon rather than a quarter.
The design decision worth noting is that failures are returned as a file rather than a list on screen. A list on screen means somebody retypes. A file means they correct in the tool they already know and send it back.
Patch Data into Flow

Patch Data into Flow › Push step
For IT teams. Validates emails, URLs, phone numbers, dates in a chosen format, choice lists, nested tables and conditional fields. Bulk loads can skip AI embedding to run faster.
Embed application forms on any website
An Embed Code dialog produces a snippet that drops a public application form into your own site. Applicants apply without leaving your pages and get a reference number when they submit.
For most sponsors and foundations the application portal is the one page of the journey they do not control the look of. This closes that gap without asking marketing to rebuild anything.
Embed Code
Copy this code and paste it into your website to embed the application form.

Personal API keys and an interactive reference
Alongside service keys for servers and integrations, individual users can now create personal keys that act with their own permissions, see when each was last used, and revoke any of them. A new interactive API reference documents every endpoint.
Personal keys exist because the alternative is worse: one shared service key pasted into three people’s scripts, which nobody can revoke without breaking the other two.
Keys
Service keys for servers and integrations, and personal keys that authenticate as you — both grant programmatic access to the platform.
| Name | Type | Holder | Status | Last Used | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CRM sync | Service | — | Active | 2 min ago | Revoke |
| Swagger UI Testing | Personal | you | Active | Yesterday | Revoke |

WhatsApp chatbot with hand-off to staff
Answer the same nine questions around the clock without staffing it. Choose a menu of fixed questions and answers at no AI cost, or full AI autopilot where every reply is generated. The bot follows your business hours, and anyone can ask to talk to a person.
The menu option is deliberately the recommended one. For most programmes the inbound questions are genuinely the same nine — deadline, eligibility, login, file size, fee — and paying per message to regenerate those answers is a cost with no corresponding benefit.
WhatsApp bot settings
Bot enabledApplies to every conversation on this account. Individual chats can still be switched off from their header.
How the bot answersWhatsApp allows 9 questions plus “Talk to a person”.

Public award directory
A public, search-engine-friendly directory of award programmes, organised by country and industry, with closing dates. Organisers can list and claim their campaigns.
It is a distribution channel rather than a feature of your programme: applicants searching for awards in their field find listings there and arrive at your campaign already intending to enter.

Award Directory home page
For IT teams. Server-rendered pages with JSON-LD structured data for search engines. Turnstile captcha on public forms.
Send HTTP Request action, with a delivery log
A new workflow step calls an external system when an application reaches a given point — creating a record in your CRM when someone is shortlisted, for example. Every outbound call is listed with its status, response code and attempt count.
The log is the part that makes this usable in production. An integration that fires and forgets is an integration nobody trusts after the first silent failure.
Outbound Deliveries
Every outbound call this workspace made — webhook deliveries to your subscribers and requests sent by the “Send HTTP Request” action in your flows.
| Source | Status | Event / Stage | Method | URL | Response | Attempts |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HTTP Request | Delivered | Approved | POST | api.crm.example.com/leads | 201 | 1 |
| Webhook | Queued | application.submitted | POST | hooks.example.org/as | — | 0 |
| HTTP Request | Failed | Payment | PUT | erp.example.net/v2/po | 503 | 3 |

Outbound Deliveries log
For IT teams. Any HTTP method, custom headers with stored secrets, templated JSON body. Queued with retries. Target domains must be approved by a platform admin.

Duplicate permission-group names are now prevented, the Help Center and API documentation sites went live, and admins can reverse an action code.
Availability
Everything above shipped in the week of 27 July 2026 and is live now. Features marked Pro or Enterprise are noted as such in their technical notes; everything else is available on every plan.
If you are comparing platforms, these are reasonable things to test in a trial rather than take on trust — alongside the questions in our RFP guide.
Book a live demo to see any of this on your own programme, or review pricing.
