Award Sponsor Portal: 5-Minute Complete Walkthrough

An award sponsor portal gives the organisations funding your programme a live view of what their money is achieving. This 5-minute walkthrough shows the five things AwardScience sponsors can do without waiting for anyone to send them a report.

The programme manager sets up the sponsor dashboard once; after that, sponsors get live data, AI analysis, their own branded page and reports on demand.

Build the award sponsor portal dashboard with AI

The programme manager creates the dashboard page, gives both Program Manager and Sponsor account types access, and enters Sponsor Dashboard as the link name. Then:

  1. Click the AI button in the bottom right corner.
  2. Describe the charts and metrics sponsors should see — in the video, total entries, unique entrants, submission velocity, category versus project count, beneficiary proportions and expenditure analysis.
  3. Hit Send, then click Execute All to lay out the charts.
  4. When everything looks right, hit Save and Publish.

The live dashboard sponsors see

As a sponsor, go to Applications and open Sponsor Dashboard. Every metric is live and updates in real time, so there are no spreadsheets and no waiting for a report to arrive. A well-built dashboard answers most sponsor questions before they are asked.

Ask the data questions with AI-powered insights

Open the sponsor dashboard and click Analyze with AI in the bottom right corner. Past chats are listed there, and you can ask anything about the data on the dashboard. In the video, the sponsor asks for the general trend and theme of the applicant pool, and gets a clear written analysis back instead of drawing conclusions from the charts alone.

Create a branded public showcase page

  1. In Studio, go to Pages and click Create Page.
  2. Give it a UI name, a title in both English and Chinese, and a link name.
  3. Click the AI button and describe your brand, story, programmes, impact statistics and calls to action. More detail gives a better page.
  4. Click Execute All, clean up any empty groups, then Save and Publish.

The page is live in the browser straight away, with no developer or design agency involved.

Pull reports on demand from the award sponsor portal

Go to Analytics, open Reports and select Application Report. Choose the rows to include, click Next Step, set a date range and any criteria, then hit Generate Report. It arrives in your inbox already structured — ready for a board update, an impact report or an internal review.

See campaign reach and engagement

If the programme manager includes reach and engagement charts in the dashboard prompt, sponsors can scroll down to see how the programme’s outreach is performing:

  • Applications submitted by date
  • Unique users reaching the programme
  • Daily page activity across the campaign
  • Idle users who started but went quiet
