Award Process Editor: 3-Minute Complete Walkthrough
The award process editor is where you shape every stage of a campaign, from entry to judging to award. This 3-minute walkthrough edits a real five-stage process and then tests it from every role’s point of view.
Open the Flow page and select the workflow you want to edit. The process in the video has five parts: an entry form, AI screening, manual vetting, three parallel judging panels, and a grand jury decision.

Design the entry form in the award process editor
Stage one is the UI where applicants submit their entries. Click the pencil icon to edit it. Add fields such as first name, last name and project summary, then drag and drop them to arrange the layout exactly the way you want. Hit Save and Publish.
Tune the AI screening criteria
Stage two is AI screening. As soon as an applicant submits, the system reviews the application automatically and produces a score.
- Click the pencil icon on the screening stage.
- Open the Workflow AI option on the left to view the AI scoring criteria.
- Edit the criteria or add new ones to match your programme’s goals.
- Hit Save and Publish.
Keep a person in the loop with manual vetting
Stage three is manual vetting: applications that pass AI screening are reviewed by a person before judging begins. It’s a quick checkpoint, and it means a human approves or rejects every application before it reaches the panel.
Set up parallel judging panels with weighted scores
After vetting, the application moves to three judging panels running in parallel. Each judge is independent and cannot see the others’ scores.
- Click the pencil icon on any judging stage to edit its scoring form.
- Under Components on the left, select Calculate.
- Define the formula for the total score, assigning a different weighting to each criterion.
- Hit Save and Publish.
The total is a weighted score, so the criteria that matter most to your programme carry the most influence, and every judge’s total is calculated the same way.
Test the award process editor changes from every role
Go to Experience and walk the application through each role in turn:
- Nominee fills in and submits the application.
- Program Manager sees the AI score — 95 out of 100 in the video — and approves or rejects at vetting.
- Independent Judges 1 to 3 each score every criterion, with totals calculated from the weightings.
- Grand Jury Member gives the overall merit score and the final approve or reject decision.
Back in the Program Manager view, all three judges’ scores appear in one place but cannot be edited, which protects the integrity of the judging process.

Can I change the AI screening criteria?
Yes. Open Workflow AI on the screening stage to view, edit or add criteria, then save and publish.
Can judges see each other’s scores?
No. Judges on parallel panels score independently. Programme managers can view every score but cannot edit them.
Does AI make the final decision?
No. AI screening produces a score, but a person approves or rejects at manual vetting, judges score independently, and the grand jury makes the final decision.
