Award Program Management Software: 4-Minute Complete Tour

Award program management software should let one person run the whole programme without calling in developers. This 4-minute tour follows a programme manager building the Hopebridge Foundation social service award in AwardScience, from the first form to the final report.

It covers the full job: building the flow and forms, setting deadlines, broadcasting updates, managing seasons, finding and importing people, tracking the programme live, and branding the site.

Build the flow and forms in award program management software

Click Create Flow on the Flow page. In each block you select the stage, set the roles that can fill in the form, choose the user interface applicants see, and pick the groups who can read the submissions.

  1. Click Create New and change the form’s title.
  2. Add a text input for the nominee’s name.
  3. Add a drop-down for the social service category, with options you edit freely.
  4. Add a text area for the social service description, save and publish.
  5. Scroll down to set the date and time each form opens and closes, then save.

Broadcast personalised updates

Click Create, give the message a title such as Application Successful, choose the channel and which field to send it to, then write the subject and content. Use the @ sign to personalise it. The video’s example congratulates applicants on passing the first round and tells them the second opens soon. Publish when you’re done.

Keep each year’s data separate

The Hopebridge award has run since 2024. To keep each year’s data apart, create a new season with a name and start and end dates that don’t overlap other seasons, then save.

Find professionals and import contacts

On the Contact page, click Find Professionals, enter a short summary and the account type you’re looking for, and review each person’s match percentage. Click Send Invite, adjust the ready-made email template if you like, and send.

To add many people at once, use batch upload: select the account type, download the template, fill it in and upload it. Contacts are assigned as applicants by default, and you can reassign any account to another role.

Track the programme and pull reports

  • 20+ built-in charts track the programme in real time, and you can add more from ready-made charts on any page.
  • AI insights read your actual data — for example, the most chosen category — and answer in plain language.
  • Reports are built by choosing fields and a date range, then emailed to you.
  • Dashboards update instantly when you publish a new chart.

Brand your award program management software

In Settings, upload your logo, set the website title, customise the login pages, add your company name and set a custom customer service email. Save, and the platform looks like yours rather than a generic tool.
